Planning & Goals for 2025

2025 Vision Board

I’m sharing with you my resolutions for the New Year, as well as my bullet journal (bujo), vision board, and laptop background “Notion” spread for inspiration in your own goal setting and preparation for 2025.

I did my resolutions a little differently this year. While I have big goals I’d like to accomplish, I also had a lot of little things I would love to do or do more of. Some tie into my bigger goals and some are just for fun. So, as it is 2025, I made a 5 by 5 bingo card of all these side quests to see how many I can check off in these next twelve months. This also means I have a few slots left on my resolution list (I have a limit of nine) that I can fill out with new goals as the year progresses. My vision board reflects both my resolutions and my side quests. (All images from Pinterest.)

My 2025 resolutions:

-write 2 first drafts

-finish setting up hobbit garden

-more coffee shop + library dates

-create a working altar / devoted practice

-publish Sky Heart audiobook

-read through my physical TBR

Now for my 2025 bujo. I think I mentioned last year about trying another journal that has no-bleed pages. I made the change and I don’t know if I could go back now. I got a lined Leuchtturm1917 which is the same height as my old Moleskin, but wider and contains an index, numbered pages, and two ribbon bookmarks. I also love the darker green color. The stickers for the cover I got from Redbubble. My tools haven’t changed too much, the pens and markers are the same and I have a collection of washi tape and stickers from various Etsy shops. Two new things I have added are a habit tracker stamp (Etsy) and a double sided tape roller (not pictured).

For my cover page, I decided to put a Polaroid selfie while my vision board went next to my priorities, resolutions, and non-negotiables. I also have my word of the year, which I was inspired by the book, Rules for a Knight by Ethan Hawke. I highly recommend this book if you don’t have a spiritual scripture to reference or just want a new little motivational read.

The rest of the spreads I have so far (not all shown) are year ahead in tarot, daily routine, dopamine menu, task tracker, year ahead in dates, IG content, hobbit garden, reading log, page of lists, and January pages. My goals for January are to reorganize and paint the office, host a 24-hour readathon, and post at least once a week on Instagram.

Last thing I’m going to share is my “Notion” weekly spread that I have as my laptop background and update every Sunday as part of my mental reset. I make it in Canva. It has a weekly to-do list with one big task and three lesser tasks, my word of the year, vision board, an inspiring quote, my tarot card of the month, some daily reminders, and a pared down version of my daily routine.

I have been looking to master my routine for years now and this is the first year I feel like I’m not starting from scratch on January first. It makes sense as 2024 was the first year I was self-employed and able to work on my own schedule. It was really helpful having my husband home so we could keep each other accountable and when I started doing weekly resets, both metal and physical. That’s not saying I don’t have things to work on this coming year, but I am hopeful to achieve more with this balanced foundation beneath me.

While you are making your own plans and resolutions for the new year, just remember we are still in the middle of winter, the time of recovery and rest. Make your plans, slowly start your new habits, but don’t be surprised when things are slow right now. Spring and its energy will be here before we know it.

Here’s to 2025!
